Harrah's Rincon Casino in San Diego, California marks the 9th stop in this season's WSOP Circuit Tournaments. With the dates ranging from 2/26 to 3/8, players should enjoy this casino which is tucked out of the way with a nice environment. We will post the event results on this page as they are completed. Now if you are planning to participate in these tournaments, you can call 760-751-3100 for more information although it is just the hotel operator who will forward you to a recording. The events are subject to change without notice so if you are hoping for a smooth sequence of events like gentle foreplay and someone yells "Brace yourself!", at least you were warned.

There are ongoing satellite tournaments for the Rincon Main Event going on through February 27, 2006. They run Monday through Friday and are held on 9:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 9:30pm, 11:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm on Friday. Players also have the choice of paying $35, $50 or $120 for entry fees for the satellites.

455 players turned out for the first event at Harrah's Rincon on Sunday. And by paying $340 to enter, a prize pool of $132,405 was created. Norm Ketchum was the winner of the event taking home almost $40,000.

109 players entered the Main Event tournament at Harrah's San Diego. The prize pool was established at $1,057,298. Some of the big names in the game did show up like Lee Markholt, Dustin Woolf, Kathy Liebert and John Juanda. Once the dust settled, there were only 26 players that made the cut for Day 2. We haven't been able to confirm that ESPN will be taping the event, which may account for the fact that not much information is being made available.
