Event #57 Main Event Day 8

12:07 PM
The final journey to determine the November Nine for the final table has begun. Action will continue at level 30 having blinds of 60,000/120,000 and ante of 15,000. Big names like Hasan Habib, Scott Clements, William Thorson, John Racener and Michael Mizrachi are still in the running. Stay with us to find out what happens.

12:32 PM
Johnny Lodden is the first one out in 27th place. Lodden pushed about 1 1/2 million to the center with pocket 8's and was called by Matt Affleck with A 10. Another 10 came on the river and cut the field down by one. Lodden earned $317,161 for his efforts.

1:15 PM
Matthew Bucaric busted in 26th place to the heart flush of Filippo Candio. And Mads Wissing followed him in 25th place. Wissing made top pair with 10's, but lost to the two pair of William Thorson (J's and 3's). Thorson is now up to 6,900,000 chips.

1:47 PM
Ronnie Bardah is gone in 24th place courtesy of the two pair (A's and J's) belonging to Filippo Candio. Top 5 players are:
  1. Joseph Cheong -- 24,400,000
  2. Soi Nguyen -- 20,000,000
  3. Matt Affleck -- 18,000,000
  4. Pascal LeFrancois -- 17,300,000
  5. Filippo Candio -- 16,400,000
2:11 PM
Robert Pisano got hammered badly in a huge hand that transferred over 9 million chips to Jonathan Duhamel after he made a straight on the turn. Pisano now only had 320,000 left and may bust soon. Duhamel is now over 21 million in his stack.

Other players who are still in the running are Hasan Habib 4,295,000, Michael Mizrachi 7,380,000, John Racener 10,840,000, Matt Affleck 14,225,000 and Scott Clements 6,625,000. Play is now at level 31 with blinds at 80,000/160,000 with a ante of 20,000.

2:44 PM
Robert Pisano was eliminated in 23rd place after his big loss earlier. He got it all in on an outside straight draw, and lost to the paired Queens of Pascal LeFrancois.

3:01 PM
William Thorson just busted in 22nd place. After a flop of 2h 6d Ad, Thorson put in 5 million with Jd 10d for a flush draw and was called by John Racener with pocket K's. Turn card was a 2 and river a 5, meaning the end of a fantastic run for Thorson. Before Thorson left he shook Racener's hand in a congratulatory mode. Racener is now pumped up to 17,000,000.

3:42 PM
Redmond Lee had left the tables in 21st place. He finally decided to go in with his short stack with pocket 4's, and was called by the pocket 10' of Michiel Sijpkens. With no help for either player from the dealer, Lee got up and shook Sijpkens's hand and left the area quietly.

4:07 PM
Patrick Eskandar has been eliminated in 20th position. His A 7 of hearts was no match for the two pair of Soi Nguyen (K's and Q's). Michiel Sijpkens followed in 19th after his move with pocket J's lost to the paired Queens of John Racener.

4:52 PM
Scott Clements finished his deep run in 18th as his push with 5 million chips and A Q failed to hold up to the A K of Matthew Jarvis. By the time the cards were dealt, Jarvis won by his King kicker.

6:22 PM
David Baker ended his quest for the ultimate bracelet in 17th. Jonathan Duhamel called Baker's all-in with pocket Kings to challenge the flush draw belonging to Baker. By the river, the flush draw didn't materialize and Baker took the slow walk away from the tables. Player count is now 16 remaining.

6:53 PM
Benjamin Statz was stopped cold in 16th place. Statz moved all-in with A 5 verses the K Q of Matthew Jarvis, and took blow after blow as more Kings hit the felt. By the time the dust cleared, Jarvis made quad Kings. Painful, just really painful. Dinner break will run for the next 90 minutes and we need a break.

9:23 PM
After dinner break, Matt Affleck was eliminated in 15th place taking home $500,165 for his efforts. In a hand verses Jonathan Duhamel a flop of 10 9 7 takes place with Duhamel checking which prompted Affleck to raise 5 million of which Duhamel called. A Queen came on the turn, Duhamel checked and Affleck moved all-in with pocket A's. His heart had to have dropped when Duhamel turned over pocket J's for the straight. Duhamel is now the chip leader after winning a 42 million chip pot.

9:48 PM A few minutes later Hasan Habib falls from the field in 14th. Habib went all-in preflop with 1.8 million and was instantly called by John Racener. Habib held A 9 suited verses the A K of Racener. By the river, the King of Racener held and Habib leaves to collect a half a million dollars.

10:06 PM The number 13 finisher in the Main Event is Duy Le. The A Q Le held didn't work out for him as John Dolan made two pair by the river (K's and 5's). The top 5 players at this time are:
  1. Jonathan Duhamel -- 44,100,000
  2. Matthew Jarvis -- 32,000,000
  3. John Racener -- 29,000,000
  4. Joseph Cheong -- 23,600,000
  5. John Dolan -- 23,000,000
10:16 PM
Adam Levy is the 12th place winner in the Main Event. From the under-the-gun position, Levy moved all in for 3,945,000 with K Q preflop. He was called by Duhamel with pocket A's. Levy managed to get another King, but it wasn't enough to defend against the Duhamel onslaught. He receives $635,011 for 12th place.

12:30 PM
The blinds are 150,000 and 300,000 with an ante of 40,000. Pascal LeFrancois is gone in 11th. The set of Kings belonging to Joseph Cheong pummeled the Q J of LeFrancois. Even though he lost, he still will collect $635,011.

5:47 AM
Yep it took that long for the last player to bust in 10th place. Brandon Steven became that player after he moved in with 4.475 million and A K. Steven was called by Matthew Jarvis with pocket Queens. The cards dealt were 4 3 10 4 5 which gave Jarvis two pair (Q's and 4's), sealing the names of the November Nine in the forefront of No Limit Hold'Em from now until then. The players are:
  1. Jonathan Duhamel -- 65,975,000
  2. John Dolan -- 46,250,000
