Day 1

A total of 238 players sat down to play on Day 1 which included faces such as John Cernuto, Matt Stout, Jason Somerville, Erik Cajelais, Gavin Smith, Hoyt Corkins, Men "The Master" Nguyen, Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Vanessa Selbst, Barry Greenstein, Josh Arieh, Steve Sung, Carlos Mortensen, Kathy Liebert, Sorel Mizzi, Steve Brecher and Nick Schulman. This is not the complete number of players as registration will be held open until the end of the first level on day 2. Buyin fee was $10,000 per person.

By the end of the day, there were 61 warriors that fell and are no longer in this tournament. Players such as Dwight Pilgrim, David Williams, Jeff Madsen, Nenad Medic, Cliff Josephy and Matt Brady. Here are the top 6 players and chip counts from day 1:

Day 2

The prize pool for the WPT Foxwoods event reached $2,276,978 which will be divided between the last 27 at the tables. Here are the payouts for those fortunate enough to reach the final table:

In all, there were 242 entrants after signups were ended earlier today. By the time the day was over, there were just 69 players left that will move on to day 3. Here are the top 6 finishers for Day 2:

Day 3

Day 3 began with blinds at 800-1,600 with a 200 ante, signifying the start of level 11. As the action continued, Mike Vela who won this event in 2007 was busted when his pocket 9's fell to the paired Aces of his opponent. Chad Brown lost his chips when his all-in with two pair (K's and 10's) came up short to the two pair (A's and 4's) of Ben Kiler. Erik Seidel lost out to the pocket K's brandished by the other player which held to the river.

Later on when play was at level 13 with blinds at 1,200-2,400 with a 300 ante, Allen Kessler was eliminated when his Big Slick (Ac Kc) lost to another player with pocket J's that held up. Barry Greenstein went to the rail after his move with pocket 9's lost to the two pair (K's and 3's) of Hoyt Corkins. Others who exited the tables were Howard Lederer, Jonathan Aguiar and Brock Parker. Day 3 ended with 28 remaining and the money is reached in 25th position.

Day 4

There are still a good number of top players in contention for the WPT title. Players like Kyle Bowker 70,000, Hoyt Corkins 239,000, Gavin Smith 307,500, Jason Mercier 342,000, Sorel Mizzi 238,500 and Christopher Bonita with 236,500 chips. Play begins at level 16 with blinds at $2,500/$5,000 and ante of $500. It took 3 hours to get down to the money with 25 players remaining in the field. Alex Berger was the bubble boy left with nothing after his all-in with pocket 10's lost out to the pocket Q's of Kyle Bowker which held to the river.

After that Gavin Smith went out in 25th place when his move with A 10 lost to the paired K's of Nikolai Yakovenko. And a set of Kings sent Kyle Bowker to the cashier's cage in 24th place. At the end of the day there were 12 remaining that will see a chair on Day 4.
